Family Participation
The Inglemoor Lacrosse Club operates almost entirely on volunteers and we need all families to participate. Field set up/breakdown for home games and staffing the officials table at all games are critical elements for a successful season. While it may be intimidating at first to fill these positions, it is very important that every family participate. For any home game, it can take up to 4 people to adequately prepare the field, plus another 3 to staff the table. For a 10-game season that equates to 50 volunteer slots. Therefore each family is expected to help out at games a minimum of 3-4 times in a season, depending upon your team size.
Scholarships
The Inglemoor Lacrosse Club endeavors to make lacrosse open to any child who lives within the club’s geographic boundaries. We do not want registration fees to be a barrier for kids to participate. As a result, partial scholarships are available for help cover regular season registration fees. Tournament fees are not scholarshiped. Requests for partial scholarships are made by sending an email to the Club President. While requests are approved by the Board, individual names are kept confidential. Families receiving scholarships are asked to take an active role in club activities, such as team manager, organizing senior night, equipment manager, etc., in addition to the normal participation expected by all families in the Club (timer, scorekeeper, spotter, field set up). In addition, families are asked to participate in other fundraising activities.
